Vaunt: Account & Data Deletion
This page explains how to delete your Vaunt account and the personal data associated with it. Vaunt is a private, self-directed self-improvement app. You can delete your account at any time using either of the methods below; you do not need to reinstall the app or be a current subscriber to request deletion.
Option 1: Delete in the app
- Open Vaunt and sign in.
- Go to Settings.
- Tap Delete account.
- Confirm when prompted.
This permanently deletes your account and your associated data.
Option 2: Request deletion by email
If you have uninstalled the app, or prefer not to use the in-app option, email us at:
privacy@getvaunt.app
Send the request from the email address tied to your Vaunt account, and include the word "Delete" in the subject. We will verify that the request comes from the account owner and then delete your account and associated data. We aim to action verified requests promptly and, in any case, within the time required by applicable law (generally within 30 days; up to one month under the GDPR).
Delete some data without deleting your account
You can also delete specific data while keeping your Vaunt account:
- Progress-tracker photos can be deleted individually in the app from the progress tracker.
- Routines and their check-in history can be deleted in the app by deleting the routine.
- For anything else (for example your AI baseline history or profile details), email privacy@getvaunt.app from the address tied to your account and tell us which data you want removed. We handle these requests within the same timelines as full deletion (generally within 30 days; up to one month under the GDPR).
What gets deleted
When your account is deleted, we remove the personal data tied to it, including:
- Your account (email and login credentials) and account identifier.
- Your profile (age, goal, self-rating).
- Your AI baseline history (category estimates, overall estimates, and summaries).
- Your routines, routine steps, and daily check-ins.
- Your 90-day roadmap and its tasks.
- Your stored progress-tracker photos, which are deleted from our private storage.
- Your referral record linking your account to a creator code.
We also instruct our service providers (Supabase for hosting/storage, RevenueCat for subscription management) to remove the data they hold for your account on our behalf.
Note about baseline selfies: Photos you submit for your AI baseline are never stored. They are processed in memory for a single request and then immediately discarded, so there is nothing to delete. Only your numeric estimates and text summaries are saved, and those are removed when you delete your account.
What may be retained
We may retain a limited amount of information only where the law requires it (for example, certain transaction records related to purchases for tax or accounting purposes). We may also keep anonymized or aggregated information that can no longer identify you. Cancelling a subscription is handled by the app store (for example Google Play) and does not by itself delete your account; use one of the options above to delete your account and data.
